Age 85

Flowers are fulfilled by Forever Blooms in Lemon Grove.

In loving memory of Ines Rocha (nee Vocal) July 31, 1941 - September 12, 2026.

Ines was born in Cliza, Cochabamba, Bolivia to Francisco and Eliza (nee Numbela) Vocal and was the youngest of six children. She is predeceased by her sisters Teodolinda, Antonia, and Maria Vocal along with brothers Max and Casto Vocal and beloved niece Kelly (Max Vocal) Roberts.

Ines arrived in the United States in 1964 with her young nephew Oscar to reunite with her brothers Casto and Max in San Diego. After returning home to marry her fiance, she made the bold choice to establish her life in California as more opportunities were available to her. Ines was a nurse by profession and shared her compassionate spirit with her geriatric patients and peers. Her greatest pride arrived in 1971 when she gave birth to her only daughter, Annabell. Her world centered around her daughter and years later, she poured that same loving devotion into her grandchildren. Ines always wanted the best for other people and loved her family tremendously. She was an avid vegetable gardener, bird lover and enjoyed the outdoors as it reminded her of her native Bolivia.

Ines leaves behind her devoted daughter E. Annabell (son-in-law Craig) Skripek and their three loving and cherished grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Ryan and Andrew Skripek. She also leaves her nephew Oscar Vocal and his children Patty and Oscar Jr.; Sister-in-Law Alicia (Max) Vocal and many nieces and nephews in the U.S., Bolivia, Argentina and Chile.

In her later years, Ines faced a gradual journey with dementia but never forgot her daughter, son-in-law or grandchildren’s names. Deepest appreciation to her long-term caregiver Marivic who treated her like family and more recently the very kind and compassionate caregivers at UC Care Senior Living who kept her safe and comfortable. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to her hospice team for their compassionate care and unfailing guidance.

A memorial and blessing will take place at Bravo Mortuary on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 10:30 am-12:30 pm followed by a Catholic graveside burial at El Camino Mortuary/Cemetery at 2pm until 3pm. Reception location: Skripek home
